The importance of self-confidence.

You will be willing to take new challenges and try new stuff when you start to believe in yourself.

Perhaps, one of the things that is holding you back from your dreams is failure.

Or maybe you just feel that you are not good enough.

Or maybe you just had a tough breakup, and all of a sudden you lose your confidence.

In this article, I'm going to give you 10 actionable steps that you could do to gain that confidence back again, so you can become a badass.

The 10 killer actions to boost your confidence.

1. Recognize that your life isn't worse than those you see on Instagram

With all the glamour and beauty that you see there, it is so obvious that these pictures could make you feel worthless.

However, many times, the life that you see on social media isn't the same with reality.

That dude who's driving a Lambo with a chick beside him...well, he might be broke and does that to get attention.

Or that girl with tight boobies and skinny body... oh well, maybe we have to credit the photographer for being so good at finding the right angle.

The point is, we want you to feel confident in yourself, and you are not worse than those you see on Instagram.

2. Take action to fight your negative thoughts

You have to come up with ways to silence your inner critic, those negative thoughts that say "I'm not good enough" or "I can't do this".

Whenever you hear that insidious voice is talking nonsense about the size of your thighs, acknowledge it.

Acknowledge that you do have fat thighs, and you WILL work on it by going to the gym.

We genuinely believe that action is the real antidote to your negative thoughts, and by doing this, you will be a badass.

3. Get moving

It is true that exercise makes you happy, and thus boost your confidence.

You don't have to punish yourself by running a marathon or lifting weights if it's not something that you like.

It could be doing yoga, swimming, or just a simple walk around the park.

The key is, get moving and take care of yourself.

4. Be grateful

Regardless of how tough your situation is, whether you are hitting rock bottom or being in your all-time low, there are always people out there who'd wish to have your life.

Be grateful for what you have, but always remember to strive for greatness and never give up.

5. Surround yourself with like-minded people

Those negative friends that you have in your life, cut them out.

There's no point of spending time with people who don't value your presence.

Go and network with people who have similar goals, the ones that will push you and believe in you.

Spend time with them, and you will be like them.

6. Stop comparing yourself to others

It creates jealousy and brings unhappiness. Don't do that, girl.

Instead, focus on yourself by being better and let others compare themselves to you.

7. Take care of your health

It's true that you are what you eat and what you repeatedly do.

Trust me, taking care of your body by eating properly and exercising will make you feel so much better for yourself.

Ditch that junk food that you love to order to your door.

8. Kill negative thoughts

Gosh, this one is a biggie.

It's been said that your mind is the most powerful tool on earth, and we couldn't agree more.

Learn how to self-talk yourself.

Stop telling your mind that "you can't" and replace it "you can".

Finally, instead of saying "this is too hard", say "how can I solve this?"

9. Do one thing that scares you every day

A lot of times, you lose your confidence because there is this feeling of fear that is holding you back.

But the best way to overcome your fear is to face it.

By doing that scares you, you will gain more confidence and improve your understanding about yourself.

10. Set some goals and achieve it

This is probably our favorite one of all.

People so often make the mistake of shooting for the moon just to end up getting discouraged after failing to achieve them.

Instead, we encourage you to stretch some goals that are a little bit high but still achievable.

You want to set a goal that is challenging with 50% chance of failure.

For example, losing 100 pounds in a week is shooting for the moon.

However, losing 10 pounds in a month is doable, but requires work and has around 50% chance of failure.
