Rose Avocado Smoothie

Run out of smoothie ideas? Not a problem. Now it's your time to try out this new smoothie recipe.

Smoothies are a fast, easy breakfast, and many of us are devoted to our morning shake of fruits, vegetables, and yogurt.

As time goes by, you might be sick of the same fruit combinations, and sometimes, the most exciting stuff that you love could be the most mundane thing if you don't find a new inspiration.

And that's exactly what this recipe does.

The new kind of smoothie

For this smoothie, we use three base ingredients: avocado, banana, and beet.

Beets are packed full of good-for-you-nutrients, including vitamin C, potassium (good for your muscles), and manganese (good for your liver).

Although it may not be the most famous vegetable out there, but with the help of avocado and banana, the beet flavor is really enjoyable in this smoothie.

It's sweet, creamy, and highly nutritious.

Plus, you don’t feel the earthy flavor of beet and avocado.

You just need to know what to combine with these.

Pro tip #1: make a one month worth of smoothie batches by packing your fruits in ziploc bags and freeze them.

Preparing the fruits

The most common mistake that we always see from smoothie makers is that they don't break their fruits into smaller chunks.

When you do that, you are going to make your blades work much harder, making them getting blunt faster.

Especially for beet fruits, you have to shred them with a box grater due to its texture.

Pro tip #2: add vanilla or plain whey protein powder to your smoothie for enhanced nutrition.

Top 5 superfoods that you could use for this recipe

1. Chia seeds.

If you are looking for a green smoothie staple then you have come to the right place.

These do-it-all superseeds are good for your head with their high content of omega fatty acids that increase healthy brain function, but have also proven to be good for your heart by fighting high cholesterol and heart disease.

They even boast a wide variety of nutrients, such as: protein, fiber, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, iron, calcium and antioxidants. Use up to three tablespoons of chia seeds in your smoothie.

2. Coconut oil.

If you are exercising for weight loss, then coconut oil will be an important ingredient for you.

The fatty acids in this superfood fight body fat by converting into energy that boosts metabolism as opposed to animal derived saturated fats that add body fat.

Use one tablespoon of coconut oil in your green smoothie for breakfast.

3. Flax seed.

Flax seed is best known for its fatty acids and fiber. When talking about omega fatty acids it is better ask what they can’t do then what they can.

This powder plays its part in proper cardiovascular and immune system health, brain function, joint function, soft skin, and more.

The fiber in flax is also good for many things, but especially effective with eliminating toxins from your body.

4.Goji berries.

Goji berries are an excellent plant-based source of protein, and are perfect for vegetarians and vegans. They can help protect you from heart disease and improve your eye health.

Goji berries have some interesting compounds not found in many other foods.

A class of oils called sesquiterpinoids that is found in goji berries boost the production of human growth hormone, which produces anti-aging effects.

Other components of the fruit can improve the functioning of your immune system and even help patients with serious autoimmune disorders. Goji berries taste great in any fruit-based smoothie.

5. Maca powder

Maca is rich in protein and B vitamins, which makes it a great supplement for vegans and vegetarians. Maca also has vitamins C and E, calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium, and phosphorous.
